thereuare
Looking for 3.5* or Hampton Inn equivalent...Hampton Inn properties are generally rated 2.5* by PRICELINE, so i'm not really sure what type of star rating you want to try for... 2.5* or 3.5*. However, i'll add that i think you might be able to get a 3.5* or better hotel in the Downtown zone for about $100... although it may take another $10 on top of that.Do you want to try for the least expensive 3.5* or better hotel in any of the above zones? We'll of course start lower, but if you get to $100 and fail should we go as high as $110 or $115?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. gte191n
Thanks thereuare, this is my first PRICELINE experience so I don't really know what type of strategy I'm looking for. I guess I'm looking for nicest hotel in the above areas for about $100. Is that too broad? Link to comment
thereuare
One more thing just to clarify...Looking for 3.5* or Hampton Inn equivalent in the SOHO, Chelsea, or MSG area...You mention Soho which is part of PRICELINE's "Downtown-Soho-Financial District" zone... which is larger then just Soho, i assume you're ok with a hotel anywhere within PRICELINE's zone boundaries for this area? (ie- you're not just looking for the Soho section of the zone)Please confirm and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. gte191n
That's right, anywhere in that zone will do. Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3.5* level you have FOUR re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Soho and MSG and Chelsea...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. Tried it 3* and what looked like one rebid area (Coney Island) up to $90 and still no go. Guess I have to wait three days or reevaluate locations. Link to comment
