Hicam Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Priceline bid accepted @ $81 for a 6-night stay from 5-3-11 to 5-9-11 at the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue. With taxes and fees, it totaled $570.54 (~$95 night). This was my first attempt at bidding for a 3.5* in this area.Bidding history was: $61, $66, $71, $76...until $81 won.By the way, for the past 4 weeks, I was unable to win a 4* in this area using multiple bids up to $101.Of course, I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link.

Hicam Posted April 15, 2011 Author Report Posted April 15, 2011 By the way, I forgot to mention. When I logged on to the Red Lion Hotel website and typed in the reservation confirmation number that Priceline provided, I was able to see the disclosed breakdown price of the cost per day.(Tue) May 3rd - $87(Wed) May 4th - $87(Thu) May 5th - $72(Fri) May 6th - $72(Sat) May 7th - $72(Sun) May 8th - $72Total: $462 (excluding taxes and fees)I felt that the $81 accepted bid ($95 with taxes and fees), was an overall fair price for 6 days.Listed below is the "room information" details the Red Lion provided:Deluxe Two Queen Non Smoking. 350 square feet. Features Sealy StayComfortable
yellowdog Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Great to see that you found the board helpful for your bidding :) The avarage price comes to $77 so you did well for the first time :) Welcome back!Yellowdog.
