helpmePl Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Hi,I'm looking for a 4* hotel for 1 adult for 2 nights - May 27th - May 29th. I have tried bidding on price line starting at $60 - $75 but haven't had any luck. Can anyone tell me what kind of rate I can expect to pay to win? It seems that I have to change major details in my bid to bid again with in 24 hours but I can't really change them. Also, does it help to bid this much in advance or would I have better luck getting lower rate closer to my trip date? Thanks in advance!

AaronJB Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Rates vary significantly from day-to-day in Chicago, although on a larger scale, they also vary from season-to-season. The Spring season - especially going further into the busy May period - is going to be more expensive than the colder Jan-Mar period. Regular rates and HOTWIRE rates are unfortunately high for these dates, and based on the rates I'm seeing, my guess is that a winning bid for a 4* in the River North-NMA zone will probably take over $100 to win.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
