Priceline Hotel: Is there such a thing as bidding too soon?

Hi - I'm new to the board.

I'm going to be in Toronto from 7/20-7/31/11 and would love a 4* hotel in downtown toronto (south) for around $80. Should I be waiting till closer to the date to bid?

Also, is the long stay (11 nights) working against me? Should I be bidding for less nights and then trying to extend the trip?

Thanks for the help!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

11 nights does sometimes cause concern when there are larger variations in rates during your stay. If need be, would you be willing to split your stay?

Looking at the stay as a whole, rates do look on the higher side - unfortunately, $80 will not likely be enough and a win will likely take at least a moderately higher bid.

I don't think it's too early to bid for a Summer stay at this point in time.
