Priceline Hotel: Guidance Copenhagen Hotel

Looking for a pre-cruise 4* hotel (top rating in Copenhagen); check in 9/9/2011 out 9/11/2011. There are only two regions in Copenhagen... center and airport, we would like center. Noted that there was a bid accepted at $96 for Marriott in prior post for same dates. Current Priceline Bid history is:

4/8/11 $96 reject

4/10/11 $ 98 reject

4/11/11 $101 reject

4/12/11 $105 reject

I would appreciate any guidance you can give me.

I think another $5-$10 may do it... if not, HOTWIRE has a 4* for $133/nite.

Would you prefer to pay a little more then you might otherwise pay if you waited for the peace of mind of having this stay 'done'... or with 5 months to go before your stay would you rather hold-out and hope for a lower price?

I rebid Copenhagen 4* $120--rejected. Perhaps my daily consistent rebidding is working against me. I think I may book a standard fallback room that has the option to cancel and try PRICELINE again in a few weeks. The HOTWIRE $133 hotel claims city center but based on amenities looks like the Crown Plaza which is just outside limits.

Thank you for your assistance. Will keep following in the event anyone has new thought. If I go back to PRICELINE or HOTWIRE I will book through this site. It is the least a user can do.

The Crowne Plaza is in the very south of the HOTWIRE zone, but assuming this is the Crowne Plaza, it does get very good reviews and from their website is very close to a subyway stop to get to Dowtnown. Might not be the perfect solution, but something to keep in mind down the road should it still be available and you're having trouble finding something within your budget.

Do note that we have hotel direct links to most major hotel chains and online agencies in our support page... please check for and use the links there for your hotel direct / back-up reservations whenever possible.

Just a quick update. Last week bid Priceline $210 per night 4 star copenhagen 9/9/11-9/11/11. The stated average standard cost is $292. Bid rejected. I don't think Copenhagen 4* can be had at any Price other than full price. Was hoping for Marriott, currently $330 per night. Not crazy about Crown Plaza (Hotwire) which would result in staying out of town. May just book a fall back hotel with cancellation option, then keep my eye on Priceline at a closer date.
