sook Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 I saw someone's posting on winning at this price and placed the same one and won.I tried 4* at 120 from 5/23 to 5/26 and rejected but I got an offer of increase my price to $150. I didn't do this as my total price per night is less than $150.I tried again 3* at $110 and rejected again. Now I tried 3* at 120 from 5/23 to 5/25 knowing that I will have a chance to extend one more night and then I won for two nights at $110. However, the problem was I couldn't win adding another night. Instead, I got an offer of booking that one more night of 5/23 at $160. I accidentally closed the explorer. I called Priceline again asked whether I can see that offer of $160 and they said that offer is only at the point and it's gone. This hotel is not listed when I checked the priceline. I thought extending nights are guaranteed because I could extend one night for my previous biddig but I guess that was my wrong assumption.I should have just bid for three nights at $120 to make my life easy.oh well, I now need to find another hotel for one more night. so much trouble..hope this helps for other's bidding.Sook

intercoms Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 Yes, the offer to extend nights is a one time thing... you cannot go back and view/change it after doing it once. Also, isn't Concorde Montparnasse a 4* hotel? it's listed as 4* on Hotels.com. I wonder if you got a 4* hotel even though 3* hotels were included?
Gnash Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 Yes, some other sites showed this hotel as 4 stars, but Priceline showed as 3 stars, I am sure.
yellowdog Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 Concorde Montparnasse is currently rated 3* by PRICELINEYellowdog. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
