As a example i bid 45$ for a 3* in naples central i have a good chance of getting the Ramada .Ihave donre in the past year.What i would like to know if i bid 55$ would i have a chance to bag a slightly better 3* in the same area i would like to get the Doubletree Anyone have a clue how it works .Or is it pot luck regards Charles

If you're trying to target, or avoid, a speicfic property HOTWIRE may be a better option as you can often take an educated guess as to what is being offered based upon the amenities associated with the property offered, but it's still a 'best guess' and no guarantees you will receive the hotel you're hoping for. As well, HOTWIRE only shows one hotel at each star level per zone, so there is a chance the hotel you're hoping for isn't the one which is offered for your particular dates.
