I need to ask since we all have diffrent standards. Is a hotel with recommended in 50% Hotwire Reviews (400+ reviews) and a mediocre 2.5/5 Trip Advisor rating ok for you?

I am aware of the ratings you mention. I am looking at a number of options as well as Hotwire to get a stay for one night in the South Charlotte area. I am curious as to what these two hotels maybe before I continue.

The 3* Pineville would be a possible match for the Holiday Inn Express. The 3* Exec Park has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board - however, as noted above, the ratings/reviews are a definite concern.

I decided to have a try on PRICELINE (via link). Got a good deal on a 3.5*.

$79.59 with taxes and fees

Very happy with outcome.

PRICELINE followed up by email offering further nights at same rate.
