mpj200 Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 i am planning on booking (through this forum) a hotel through HOTWIRE for 3 nights between 4.17-4.20 in nyc, somewhere around MT. i am using 4 adults as the parameters, but have a 10 year old i need to get in that will sleep on the floor. is it hard to get a 5th person (10 year old child) in?any suggestions are appreciated.

mpj200 Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 i actually have 3 adults (me, my wife and my 18 year old), 1 teenager and 1 10 year old. the 10 year old has no problem sleeping on the floor. i don't really have a budget, just trying to get a nice room (4*- 31/2*) that will accomodate us all. if there was something with a suite/extra room, that would be ideal. just want it to be a nice property in a safe area. would prefer to spend less than $500 a night.
thereuare Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 How about bidding on PRICELINE for two rooms... perhaps trying for a 3.5* midtown hotel with a maximum bid for ~$150-$175 per room? Even an 'ok' hotel with 2/3 people per room might be better then one room with 5 people... as well as making a quicker time getting ready in the morning and for dinner with the extra bathroom.Thoughts? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
