kinja Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 HiI'm looking to visit Washington DC between 17-24 May and want to stay somewhere close to all the main attractions. Can you advise a good strategy for finding a 4* hotel in this area ? Or is the quality of the 3 1/2 * hotels good enough that i should go for one of these ? Thanks Neil
thereuare Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! The most frequently bid zones in Washington DC area:Convention Center-Capitol HillWhite House - DowntownDupont Circle - Woodley Park... but you should look at a PRICELINE map of the area and the boundaries of each zone to determine if these, or others, would work best for your own plans.Whether you bid for a 4* or 3.5* is one of personal preference and what you expect from your hotel stays along with your budget. You can start by looking at the Priceline Hotel List to see the types of hotels which have been reported to the board at each star level. While the list isn't finite and you could be the first to report a new hotel to the board, it should at least give you a sense of what to expect at each star level. What is your expected budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for this stay? Please click this PRICELINE link, then reply to this thread with the info above and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
