steaklist Posted June 26, 2003 Report Posted June 26, 2003 I think I talked to the same woman that jopctjo did in THIS THREAD.I booked a $70 rate through Priceline for the Westin St. Francis for July 19-21. (4*, US-E). I live in SF and am booking for my parents who are visiting. As many suggest (including the Priceline site itself), I called to request certain specifics. The woman was incredibly unhelpful, if not just plain rude. I said I would like to request a non-smoking room, one bed, etc. and she cut me off saying I can't get those things with a Priceline reservation. I said I understood I wasn't guaranteed anything, but I could certainly *request* them, right? I'd be surprised if she even entered my requests.I've seen plenty of poor user reviews regarding this hotel. I was hoping I would be an exception. I'll write back with my experience.
