boydsdaughter Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 I won the Intercontinental today for $210, for May 20 - 23rd. Several weeks ago I attempted with several bids, up to $230, all rejected.Today I checked their website and their lowest rate was 236 euros for my dates. (I just checked again and that rate is no longer available). I submitted a request for $185 and received a counter offer for $230 (I saved the email just in case I wanted to accept it if they rejected my second offer).I had my partner submit another offer for $210 and it was accepted. I know I possibly could have saved a few dollars by trying to bid lower, but I didn't want to chance it since our trip is not to far off and I thought they might accept the $210.We are happy.
