Hello,

I'm looking for a 4* in MTW, MTE or MTC from July 22-26. I found the following on Hotwire this morning for $150:

Midtown East

Boutique Hotel

Fitness Center

Spa Service,

High-Speed Internet Access

Business Center

Any idea which hotel this may be?

I was hoping to get a 4* through Priceline or Hotwire for $130 or less but I'm not sure if this is reasonable. Should I just take the above rate or wait it out for a bit?

Thanks so much for your help!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

The above hotel is a match for the W New York, which despite the brand name does not seem to get very good reviews. (if this hotel works for you for some reason please use this HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase).

I think a better course of action would be to go for what is believed to be the Eastgate Tower for $157/nite. There is no booking fee so the cost comes out to just about the same as the Hotwire selection above, and the reviews are excellent. Location is just a bit south of 42 St (not in the zones you mentioned above) but is close enough to the boundary to take a look. Rates thru EasyClickTravel are also refundable up to 72 hours before check-in date, so it gives you the ability to continue to search priceline and hotwire for a better deal.

Let us know yout thoughts.

Thanks for your help!

I followed your provided link and booked the Eastgate Tower as a backup. It is a bit out of the way but, as you had stated, the reviews are excellent. I'll keep shooting for a better deal through hotwire/priceline and will post any progress I make.
