Having just found this site, I'm adding some of my recent Hotwire wins. This one was especially awesome because it was during the Toronto International Film Festival, where it's impossible to find a room and the hotels jack up their prices. Everyone else I knew in town for the festival was paying 300 something a night for a much less nice hotel. Actually, I'm shocked I got this deal a few weeks before the festival, though one tip was I searched for 3 nights when nothing good came up for 4 nights. The deal didn't show up when I searched for 4 nights, so the last night I stayed in a airport hotel, which kind of made sense because I had to be at the airport at 6 in the morning the day that I left, and the airport hotel had a free shuttle. If I had stayed downtown that last night, I probably would have needed to take an expensive cab to the airport, as the subway wasn't open yet.

The location of this hotel is amazing. I never even took a subway when I was in Toronto, I took a cab twice later at night or the rain, but I mostly walked to everything I wanted to do, this hotel being so central. The room was extremely comfortable and had a view of the space needle. There was a free internet center in the lobby which I used a lot. I also enjoyed the hot tub, though the pool was too cold to swim in. It's listed as "indoor" but it's more like half in-door, half out-door, and the temperature of the water is compromised by such.

I did not want to leave this hotel for the airport hotel the 4th night, but at least my early morning trip to the airport went smoothly.
