This winning bid isn't any new information but-

3 stars, Laguna Beach/Dana Point, 106 before tax and 126.60 total after taxes. 4/16/11 one night.

Tonight was my first time on this website, I searched google and here I am. It took a while for me to get started because there are so many tabs and threads that it was a bit confusing even for a smartie like me. The hardest thing for me to find was the overall database or "Better Bidding List". But once I had the light bulb moment, it was clear as day what properties the two Hotwire hotels I had been considering for weeks were. I decided it was worth basically double the price to be on the beach near the good stuff and not tucked up in the suburbs in an office park. It all came down to location, and this page gave me that much needed answer.

I've been using Hotwire since about 2005. I used to use Tripadvisor ratings to cross-reference, so now that Hotwire wizened up, I am so thankful to have found this site. I did use your HOTWIRE link.

Oops! The only amenities shown are NEAR BEACH and POOL.

After reading the trip advisor reviews I think it also includes free parking and breakfast, so they may update their amenities sometime.
