Been trying to score a 5* in Hong Kong's energetic and sought after Tsim Sha Tsui area.

Not having much luck. I've abused the rebid zones for two days in a row -- really thinking it would sort out by now.

Hotwire is offering a 5* in Tsim Sha Tsui at $172 so I'm hesitant to keep bidding this up.

At this price point I can book The Royal Garden in Tsim Sha Tsui on Expedia and retain the right to Cancel or Modify my Rev or InterContinental Grand Stanford if I do a no-Cancel booking.

I used betterbidding's PRICELINE link to initiate both attempts.

Won - The Langham 5* Hong Kong (Tsim Sha Tsui) $181

Modified dates: 05/12/2011 - 05/15/2011.

I bid this up to $211 today using the original dates and then quit and cut the dates in half to see if that was the problem. Once I cut out the last three days, I was able to rebid from $141 $161 to $181.

Expedia price for the Standard Room was $271 on those dates. Also noticed that Expedia shows no Standard Rooms for The Langham on 05/17/2011 and 05/18/2011 - This is probably why I couldn't get it to take with my last two days of bidding.
