Priceline Hotel: Long Term Stays Suggestions?

I'm curious to hear what results others have had (in any city) with Priceline requests for long term stays.

I would like to stay in Boston from June 6 -- June 27 or 21 nights with an ideal max price of $50/night. I noticed that people were getting the Hyatt in Cambridge for less than $50, so that seems promising. I would be very happy with that. A 4* or 3* would be ideal.

My first choice zone would be Cambridge, but I would also consider Copley, Downtown and WTC in that order.

Am I better off breaking up the stay and bidding for smaller increments to start out, or should I try for the whole duration from the beginning? I'd obviously prefer not to hop around between hotels if I don't have to.

Should I wait until I'm closer to June to put in my requests or is it better to bid before things fill up? The fact that there are likely a lot of college graduations during that time sorta worries me.

You guys are the experts, so I'm looking forward to hearing some good stratagies.

I think you will have trouble getting this in one complete stay as all you need is one nite that requires a higher bid and it will cause a rejection for your entire stay.... and this is likely to happen at least anytime that there is a college graduation taking place (in addition to other potential events).

I'd definately start sooner rather than later, trying for the complete stay at first, and then subsets of your stay.

To begin, run a few searches at some hotels (directly from their website) in the area for 3 separate weeks and report back as to the price of each for each week.
