I bid for this date in Paris and as other users was selected on the Marriott Rive Gauche hotel.

My bid was $ 100,00 per night.

I booked this hotel from theirs website for the price of $ 200,00.

So it was an excelent deal.

So I just returned from my stay at Marriott Rive Gauche.

The problem I had durring my stay there is that on my first they gave me a room with 2 single beds and as I was with my wife it was not what I wanted.

The Hotel manager said to me that with a priceline book I had no guarrantee that my room would be a double or a twin. As it was my first time with priceline I didn't know if that was true.

But in my second night they changed me to a double bed and the rest od the stay was Ok.

There is no guarantee with regard to bed type when using PRICELINE, but usually hotels will try to work with your to accommodate requests. It may have been that the hotel was busy and had high occupancy during your first stay and the room type you wanted wasn't available... whereas for your second nite the room you wanted was more readily available. While this is an 'unknow' of using PRICELINE (and to a certain extend HOTWIRE too), but fortunately it often works out (as it did for your second stay) and the savings are usually enough to compensate for the risk that you may not get the room configuration you ideally want.
