dawgsrock Posted April 20, 2011 Author Report Posted April 20, 2011 Priceline users should be aware that on occasion a hotel will charge you for your stay even if you booked it on Priceline. In other words when you get your credit card statement you will have a Priceline charge and another charge by the hotel which is usually slightly less (which I assume is due to the Priceline commission).I have used Priceline regularly over the past 3-4 years and this has happened to me twice. 2-3 years ago it happened to me at a Courtyard hotel in the medical center area of Birmingham. Most recently it happened at a Residence Inn in the Medical Center area of Houston. Both are Marriott properties although they may not be the only ones guilty of doing this. The charges in both cases were reversed by the offending hotel, but it turned into a major hassle this last time when I stayed in Houston. So...watch your credit card statement for a duplicate charge by the hotel. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
