ok. I've followed up on old threads, except the Scottsdale one for 4/27/11. Still looking....... and wondering if the 5* one I'm inquiring about now is Royal Palms. I've already booked Doubletree suites near airport as a safety. It's our last night in the area and I don't want to be too far away from airport, but if I could get a nice resort for good rate, I may do that.

Same search today (Phoenix, 4* and up) gives 5* hotel with exact same amenities for $185. Lower than yesterday but without Special Savings banner.

It was The Royal Palms.

Price dropped from $185 to $156 so I booked it.

It looks really nice and we're looking forward to our stay. Thanks!
