Priceline Hotel: Trip to NYC

I am taking my daughter on a trip to NYC in June for a high school graduation present..I have used Priceline for years for other travel to other cities but I am quite scared to be honest using it in such a big city...Here are my concerns.

1-I don't have or ever have had a credit card..Will hotels in NYC take a cash deposit without breaking my wallet?

2-What's the odds of getting a room with two beds and will they grant me that at check in?

It depends. Most hotels will take a cash deposit, but whether or not it 'breaks the bank' is another question, especially for a multi-nite stay. What have you done at other hotels in the past? If you called the hotel you received after winning and they insisted upon a credit card, do you have a friend/family member that would be willing to fax their credit card to the hotel to secure the deposit on the room?

2-What's the odds of getting a room with two beds and will they grant me that at check in?

Nobody can say... it depends upon the hotel, occupancy levels, and what is available upon your arrival. You could use HOTWIRE and search for quad occupancy, which would ensure separate sleeping accommodations for each of you, but note that the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway, etc.

What are your dates of travel? What type of star rating are you seeking? Which zones are you bidding? What is your maximum budget (per nite before taxes and fees)??
