Newbidder1 Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 I am trying to book a 4* in New York: Times Square, Central Park or Midtown West. Dates : May 3 - 7.I have bid for the past 5 days, each day starting with Times Square at $180 and rebidding adding Central Park and then Midtown West while increasing my bids to $190 and $205, with no success. Do you have any advice?Thank you
thereuare Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Is there a reason you're not including the MTE and/or ESB zones in your bidding? Do you have to have a 4* hotel for this stay? HOTWIRE has a 3.5* property in the MTC zone with a 95% recommendation rating for $151/nite... it may not be the 4* you were originally seeking, but it appears to have good feedback and at $50+ per nite savings you can make it work for your needs? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Newbidder1 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 Thnk you for your reply. I have added MTE and ESB to my list of areas, but would like to stick with 4*. Hotwire has one for $225 in CP but so far my bids up to $210 have not been accepted. Any suggestions?
thereuare Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 HOTWIRE has what i'm guessing is the St Giles The Court in the ESB zone for $225/nite... this property has not yet been reported to the board thu PRICELINE, which if this property is not currently participating with PRICELINE, could explain why your bids so close to HOTWIRE's rate of $225 have not been accepted.Would this property at $225/nite work for your needs? If not, what is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Newbidder1 Posted April 2, 2011 Author Report Posted April 2, 2011 Thank you for your suggestions. Ended up going through Expedia hidden rates and booked the Omni Berkshire for $1070.00 including taxes for the four nights.
