BWI to MEL 06/2011

I have never used NYOP to book a flight and am unsure the best way to go about this. After looking up flights from BWI to MEL in June it looks like the average price will be $1800. Should I start out by bidding 1/2 that and go up in increments of $5? Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

I do have a another question not just regarding the bidding but the time in between flights.

How does it work if I get a package with only so much time to get from point A to point B with only 30 mins between flights?

Do you mean if the first flight is delayed and you're not able to make the connection?

If it's a regularly scheduled flight/connections then the airline(s) will re-accommodate you on the next available flight.

To figure out how much a ticket would cost should I look at a variety of sites or just what Priceline is saying the cost would be?
