Priceline Hotel: Downtown Minneapolis 4/8 to 4/12

Are there any major events going on in Minny between 4/8 & 4/12? I have been trying every night lately for a room between $40 and $55 in downtown Minneapolis. I have been searching for 3.5 and 4 star hotels. I can't seem to get a break but from the forums I see most winning bids between $40 & $50.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Please provide a follow-up for your prior Hotwire Chicago thread (post in that thread what you decided for that stay), then reply to this thread and we'll be happy to look into the above.

Allways follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.

The Minnesota Twins stadium is downtown and their home opening weekend is 4-8 through 4-10. That may be the cause of the shortage of rooms. I know that I booked a room for the home opener last year.
