James9394 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Hi all,I will be travelling to San Fran for a conference from Aug 1-4, but will be spending some time in San Fran afterwards. The conference is being held @ the Hyatt Regency. It is a small conference (100 attendees). I understand there are only three hotels at the 4* level being offered through Priceline. Any tips that can "guarantee" I get the Hyatt? Thanks for all your help in advance!!!

austin_res Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 In PRICELINE, you are not bidding on a particular hotel, but a group of hotels in a zone. Any 4* hotels in the Embarcadero zone may accept your bid. If you're only willing to stay at the Hyatt, hotwire would be a better option as you can take an educated guess as to what the hotel is. Or check lastminutetravel.com and use this method to identify the hotel. If you do want to take a chance with PRICELINE bidding, the Le Meridien has frequently been won in the Embarcadero zone lately and is a short walk to the Hyatt.
James9394 Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Posted March 28, 2011 Was able to get Le Meridien San Francisco for $105 from Aug 5 - Aug 7, 2011.
