I think it was in HOTWIRE where i read that is necessary a credit card because sometimes the hotels don't accept Debit card, is this true? or i will be safe using the debit card?

You can use whatever source you'd like to purchase the hotel, the issue will be whether or not the hotel you receive accepts debit cards as security for incidentals and any damage to the room.

MOST (but not all) hotels do accept debit cards (if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo) but note that the card will need to have available funds to cover whatever cash deposit is required by the hotel. As well, these funds may not be available for withdrawal until a few days after your stay has completed.

If you need help with an upcoming stay please post the details (city, zone, dates, desired star rating, budget, etc) and we'll try to assist.

thanks for your answer I will keep that in mind.

About the incoming stay, yeah i am thinking i been reading a lot around this forum and i think I'm ready to use maybe priceline im not so sure yet but here is the info anyway if you can help me with that.

City: Los Angeles (downtown if possible)

Date: check in April 11, check out april 13 (2 nights stay going to Lakers game on the 12th.)

Star rate: 4 star or around.

Budget: i will like to spend a $90.00 amount per night which is what i will pay on the website I know there will be taxes.

Mis.: Free Parking (very important or at least one not so expensive)

Free wireless internet (will be nice but not necessary)

Free breakfast (same as internet, nice but not necessary.)

A nice neighborhood (for what i been seen this is a little difficult but still I will like to know if its possible)

I think that's it pretty much my major concern is the parking because I would like to go in and out a few times a day and don't want to pay like thirteen something but if there is not other choice i will.

Thanks for your help.

What 4* hotel in Downtown Los Angeles do you see for ~$90/nite?

These are all things you can't determine or know before your purchase with PRICELINE. You could use HOTWIRE where you could purchase a hotel with a Complimentary Breakfast icon and know that you'll have breakfast included in the rate, but the others would still be unknown. You could also further research the HOTWIRE offer(s) and take a guess as to which hotel is being offered and then determine the cost for internet, parking, etc. but it would still be predicated on you guessing the hotel correctly so still no guarantees. The trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE. Lastly, if you're intent on a 4* hotel, realize that most hotels at this star rating don't include breakfast or internet.

Rates change often so let us know once you've made a decision/commitment to move forward and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.

NOTE: after your next reply we'll move this thread to the LOS ANGELES - Priceline section of the board.

thanks for your help, well I decide and go for Priceline with this trick because its been used twice on this one too same trick but well i will create a new post in Los Angeles Priceline section with more details. :) :)

By the way it took me more time to do this post with the links and the other post on Los Angeles Priceline section that the time that took me to book the room on Priceline, but it was worth it, thank you guys for this forum if it wasn't because of you I will probably end up in the Motel 6 by the Airport which was the option I have before i found you.

Again thank you very much and just for the record i did use your link :o

Thanks to this winning bid and the priceline hotel won here, I was able to do the same, mi first bid was $65.00 in downtown i was rejected an add Lawndale and $ 70.00 rejected again, then add Culver City and $75.00 and get the Westin Bonaventure for 4/11 and 4/12 so I guess the third is the charm one. Im so happy with this deal :), I will be paying a lot for parking but I guess I should not complain.
