Priceline Hotel: Need Help - NYC Times Square 4*

I tried to bid on priceline for a Times Square 4* hotel 5/8/2011-5/11/2011

I read from this forum and used the calender, some other members won $190-$195 on same dates, same zone same stars.

I tried to bid $195 but failed, free rebid $200 still failed.

Does anyone know why? And how should I bid again? I don't want to pay more than $200....

The middle of May is a particularly busy time period in NYC and $200 is not enough for a 4* in that area at this point in time if it isn't being accepted. Are you only interested in TS?

I'd also read this thread regarding our thoughts on Hotels Near Times Square

I think you'd have a better chance at success if you expand beyond only the Times Square zone, and really won't be detracting from your trip at all (and perhaps augment your trip, getting a bit more 'local' taste of the city :) )

Let us know if you're open to other areas or only want to stick with the Times Square zone.
