Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Tampa (Airport TPA South-Westshore) Wyndham Westshore

I'm bidding on a 4* in Tampa for 5/4-5/6 have made several bids from $40-50 no counters etc. Seems like most bids in that range at least start getting counters from Priceline. All the ones over $60 just over bid. Wondering if I'm getting started too early or if I should expect to pay more/lower *level at that time of year. Hoping to finish under $55-60

I'm bidding on TPA-South/Westshore Zone. Yesterday tried 3.5* started @ $45 went up to $54 using all my free rebids and nothing on that either. Hotwire shows $67 (and if thats what I have to settle for I can live with it) but it includes what priceline calls TPA North and TPA West and I don't want to stay in TPA North.

Sidenote the hotel list on betterbidding does not show anything over 2.5* in TPA North but Priceline shows 3.5 as an option for that zone.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

What are the amenities associated with the HOTWIRE offer? Besides the zone boundaries being different, each uses its own criteria and method to rate hotels, so it's also possible that this 3.5* on HOTWIRE is 3* rated on PRICELINE.

As per the comments at the top of the Priceline Hotel List, the lists are only hotels reported to the board, and there could be (and likely are) others not yet knows... if there is no 3.5* property in our hotel list then a property in this zone at this star rating has not yet been reported to the board.

The amenities shown are Airport Shuttle, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant and High Speed Internet. On the list of known 3.5 Hotwire in that zone everything would be acceptable except Doubletree Guest Suites - Rocky Point but still hoping for lower price

Thank you but no need for Hotwire, 24 hours finally came for Priceline. Bid 4* using all my rebids up to $70 and nothing, switched to 3.5* and on second try got Wyndham Westshore for $55. Wyndham was the only brand I was not familiar with on the 3.5 list, I was comfortable with all the other brands so I hope this one is on par, and of course I used the boards link.

Thanks for the help and once won I will post car rental on appropriate board.
