norskie
just reporting back. The hotel - Wild Palms - was pretty good - very clean rooms, nice decor, comfortable beds. We had two adjoining rooms, one with a king bed and the other with two full beds. The free continental breakfast was substantial - better than most. The pool and outside area was nice. There was a computer in the reception area with free internet access and a printer. Parking is free and the location is convenient for visits to San Jose, Palo Alto/Stanford. It was an hour drive to San Francisco. We took a good day trip to Big Basin Redwood forest and over to Santa Cruz (only an hour drive). Link to comment
SAP_Pete
Stayed here 6/1/09-6/5/09. Clean, nice looking property. Got a corner room at the far end of the property, big bathroom, mini fridge, wireless internet included, plenty of parking.Only problem was the gate adjacent to my room, leading out into the parking lot. squeek-squeek-squeek........squeek-squeek-BANG!!!!!! at least until midnight, then starting again at 5 am. Having the hotel laundry room right across the hallway didn't help, either. Would stay here again, but you couldn't pay me to stay in a room near one of the gates. Link to comment
