Hello!

I'm looking for a hotel in Washington DC for 3 nights. (03/28/2011 - 03/31/2011), for 1 person.

Maximum: $300 total + tax.

I've been looking for a hotel the last two weeks on Hotwire, with no great deals and i'm also bidding the last two weeks on Priceline, every day, with no succes.

The areas are:

4* - 3*:

- The White House / Downtown

- Convention ctr / Capitol Hill

- Crystal City

- Dupont Circle

4* - 3,5*:

- Arlington

I've bidding with a lot of free-re-bids, with a max. on Priceline for $95 per night.

What do you think? Give up or do you think there is a chance to win a bid or have a great deal on Hotwire for the next 2 days? Because I can cancel my hostel-reservation 24h. before check-in.

Of course I used the last two weeks the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links on BETTERBIDDING.

Anything is possible... a hotel could receive a last minute cancellation from a large group of guests and suddenly find themselves with a big block of rooms to fill, but based upon supply/demand for these dates, i'm doubtful that you'll be successful at $100 or under.

Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

Thanks for continuing to try with the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
