karmagod123 Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Hi, I am planning a friends bachelor party in las vegas from April 8-10. I already have reservation in MGM at 140 a night taxes included. I plan to bid on 5 * properties on the strip (North or South). Any feedback will be helpful. I plan to start bidding ttoday, thanksSid
AaronJB Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)How many people will be in each room, and will you need more than one bed per room? For a 5* property, what would be your desired budget per room/per night?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
thereuare Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure how many people you'll be in total, but note that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which means you may receive a room with only one bed and the hotel could assign you a room with only one bed. You could request a room with two bed, but the hotel could be unable, or unwilling, to accommodate your request... or charge an additional fee if they are willing to accommodate you request. If this is a risk you're willing to accept (or you only need double occupancy per room) i don't think you're going to be able to get a 5* hotel for $140 all-in. What is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. karmagod123 Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 Thank you & really appreciate your help, We will have 2 people per room, & yes we can accept the risk that we get one bed I can go upto 150 per night + whatever else is the resort fees, Thanks againSid
thereuare Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 I'm assuming that's $150 before taxes and fees? If so...At the 5* level you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 5* Strip North and Strip South...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $138, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $143, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $148, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
