tignor
We'd like to go to DC for 2 nights on May 14th and 15th.We'd like a hotel in a safe area in the heart of the city near the MetroRail. We would consider an outlaying area, but would rather try for the city first. If successful, we will be taking Amtrak in, so we will arrive at Union Station. Our budget is trying to find a 4* for less than $120 (of course, the cheaper the better!). We are willing to go to a 3* if we can't get something higher. So, in order of preference: city near MetroRail, 4* for up to $120, add 3* for up to $120. If not successful add outlaying areas near MetroRail for 4* for up to $120, add 3* for up to $120.Thank you! Link to comment
thereuare
There is no "near a metro stop" checkbox to select on PRICELINE, so you'll need to be comfortable landing a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone(s) you select. The following zones:Convention Center-Capitol HillDupont Circle - Woodley ParkWhite House - Downtownare the most frequently bid and tend to work out well for the average user, but you'll need to check the zone boundaries yourself to confirm if these zones will work for your needs.HOWEVER, have you checked rates for your dates thru conventional booking channels? Rates are extremely high and i'm doubtful you'll be able to find anything within the 'city proper' at the 4* level at $120 or under (and the 3* and higher star level isn't looking very promising at the moment either)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know ow you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
