Priceline Hotel: Help with Maui bidding end of March

I just upped my bid to $225 and my offer still gets declined! I don't see any other posts for around the same dates, but I am very surprised that all my offers have been turned down. Maybe if I wait until the week of to try again and hope that I get a last minute deal? I am wondering if it is because it is around Spring break, which may cause the hotel prices to be more expensive than usual.

I was hoping to get a resort for no more than $250/night. I thought Spring break was a week or two before the dates that I selected, but maybe I was wrong. The think if I am not mistaken, the reservation price at the Westin is a little over $300/night, so I was aiming to get a room on Priceline for under the $250 mark.

Colleges and universities all have their spring break at different times, but generally within a 6-8 week window starting at the very end of February and extending thru the beginning of April.

When bidding Resort in the Kaanapali-Lahaina zone you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

24 hours after your last rejected bid you can try again as follows:

Select Resort Kaanapali-Lahaina...

Bid $240, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $245, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $250

Any questions feel free to ask.

I am trying to book a resort in Lahaina area for 3/30-4/4, but have had no luck. I have bid up to $200 and all bids have been rejected! Anybody have any suggestions or luck with late March early April? I was hoping to get the Sheraton or Westin resort.

You should try the Makena Beach Resort in Wailea/Makena. I am typing from there as we speak, in a room that I won on Priceline for $176 per night.

It's listed as 3.5* but is easily as good as any 4* ( and as good a few resorts). Great property, in a great location that is just a bit outdated with 1980's furnishings.

I wish I could stay here for another month!!
