My daughter has been asked to take part in Tartan Week and some of the other events in New York that week and we are trying to attend but need to do it as economically as possible.

A friend has advised me to use Priceline and I was looking for some advise.

1. How do you register with Priceline.com when you stay in Scotland?

2. I was looking to stay in or around Midtown East in a 3.5* or 4* hotel. If anyone can advise of a good bidding strategy to get a room as close to $100 a night it would be appreciated.

Yes I live in Scotland. When you try to register for Priceline it only has USA or Canada available as the Country for registering your Billing address.

Got the deal with Hotwire for $109 a night in Midtown Central in a 3.5 * Hotel. Total for 7 nights with taxes $921!!!

Hotel was Club Quarters opposite the Rockefeller Center.
