thereuare Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 I'm doubtful that $160 will be enough for a 4* hotel, but to give it a try...At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* Chelsea, ESB, MTE, MTW, and TS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* CPS, Chelsea, ESB, MTE, MTW, and TS...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. Quinlad Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Thanks for the advice. No joy unfortunately! :)I'd be happy with 3 or 3.5* as well. Although my upper limit is more like $145 (had forgotten about tax). Can you give me some advice on a strategy for 3/3.5?Thanks!

thereuare Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Based upon current prices i don't think that $145 is going to be do-able for a 3* or better. Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? At the moment HOTWIRE has a 3.5* in the MTC zone for 4/17-4/19 for just $112/nite... you coudl then take the $30 savings per nite and add it to the last to nites of your stay (making your maximum bid for these nites $175/nite)... although i'll add that even $175 may be tough for these last two nites, which are more expensive then the first two nites.Alternately, you could stay downtown for the complete stay for ~$115/nite... or take the MTC property above and then stay Downtown for the last two nites at $110/nite.Your thoughts? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
