dragonfly75 Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 For $105 per night on Hotwire (used your HOTWIRE link), 3/28-4/1. I see that this is either the Hilton or Holiday Inn. Is there any way to find out which one it is most likely to be? Thank you!

dragonfly75 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Thanks, the amenities are Restaurant, Business Center and Internet.
AaronJB Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 It could be either the Holiday Inn or Hilton Garden Inn, but I'd lean towards it being the former.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
dragonfly75 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Thank you, that's what I was afraid of!
AaronJB Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Thank you, that's what I was afraid of!Is there another listing of interest? Travelocity's "Top Secret" section may also offer some possibilities.Thank you for using the site's Travelocity, HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
dragonfly75 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Do you have a list of the Travelocity "Top Secret" Hotels? For instance:4* Midtown, no smoking and high spped internet Thank you!
thereuare Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 We're starting to keep track of the Top Secret deals in the OTHER HOTEL DEALS section of the board, but to date we're not seeing that much activity with Travelocity's opaque product. The St. Giles The Court has been seen as a Top Secret 4* hotel in Midtown with Smoke Free and Internet icons, but with just these two amenities, there are LOTS of other possibilities as well, and i'd hardly consider this to be conclusive. What is the price of the Travelocity offer? As midtown and Downtown-Soho are very different areas, what is your goal/purpose of this stay? What is your maximum budget per nite? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. dragonfly75 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Thanks again. We are 2 adults and 2 kids. We've been to NYC many times and usually stay midtown or Times Square. I wasn't opposed to Downtown, since it might be nice to switch it up. We have a cancellable reservation booked for a 2* in Midtown for $650 total with taxes. I was just checking to see if we could find something a little nicer, willing to pay up to $750 total. The one I saw on Travelocity didn't work out, I realized it had defaulted to only 2 guests.
thereuare Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Where is your back-up reservation? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dragonfly75 Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Posted March 16, 2011 Comfort Inn Manhattan. (Which includes free breakfast)
AaronJB Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 Is this is the Comfort Inn on Ludlow (Lower East Side)? I'm seeing a rate of around $151 (before tax) per night for the Comfort Inn Times Square.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links, and please use the site's links in the Support/Travel section to start regular rate purchases.
