daffodilfaery Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Hi all,Very new to all of this, wondering if we'll be able to get a good deal in June, and if so, whether it's better to go with Priceline or Hotwire? And some help identifying some places would be good, ie 3 1/2*, Central Park area hotel, for $178 a night, Boutique hotel, restaurant and wifi?
thereuare Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! As to which service to use, PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, it depends what is most important to you for this stay... the lowest price OR if there are certain amenities you want your hotel to have and be able to take an educated guess as to what you might receive before your purchase. See this thread for more info: I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire. After reading the thread linked above feel free to ask any questions you have and/or let us know how you'd like to proceed, along with the actual date(s) of your stay, and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. yellowdog Posted April 5, 2011 Report Posted April 5, 2011 daffodilfaeryPlease keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay.3.5* Central Park Area $175.Best guess woul be The Bentley. We can't ID PRICELINE hotels in this way. The amenities you've listed above for the 4* property area a generic description of a 4* by PRICELINE... not any one particular hotel. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.PS. Please remember follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancell your trip, etc.
