DEALHUNTRESS Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 I am looking to bid on a 3*- 4*hotel for May 19th night specifically at North Michigan Avenue or River North areas only.Prices seem really high for that date rate on most websites ($130+)Can someone advise me as to what would be a good price to bid and what strategy to follow. I have read and understood the free bidding zone concept now just need help trying to figure out how much to bid and in what order.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
DEALHUNTRESS Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 To make it more specific I'd like to try the bid on a 3*.

DEALHUNTRESS Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 Priceline sucked this time!I tried bidding upto $100 for 4*, $90 for a 3* on NMA and RN and was rejected. Then tried upto $82 for 2.5 and 2 stars and was still rejected by Priceline!!Tried Hotwire and found a 3* hotel right on Magnificent Mile for $ 64 + tax. Applied the Hotwire $10 off code and got the hotel for 69.95 AFTER tax. Hotel was Lenox Suites which is a 2* in Priceline...but for 69.95 I am pretty content as priceline rejected my $80+ bid on the same and it's $165 for this hotel on any other website..plus the hotel is in a great location.Thanks.
