vasulava Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Hello, The two of us are traveling to London in April. We currently have a b&b arranged for us in South Brumley, Kent. After reading in a lot of forums, I have been told that is a bit far to travel back and forth daily to the city. We will be there as tourists with a two day conference at Cass Business School. I have also calculated the price we would pay living in Kent, commuting to the city. We figured if we can use that money towards a room in the london city, it will drastically cut down our commute times. We are looking for a place in and around the city from April 6th to the 12th. We are willing to pay around 90$ max per night. We would like a place on priceline's zones 1,2,3,5,7,8, 10 or 12. Any suggestions will help. Thankyou.

vasulava Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 Thank you for writing back. I am looking at Bloomsbury/marble arch, mayfair/soho, nottinghill/bayswater, westminster. Any help is greatly appreciated. I notices the prices are abit higher in these areas. Maybe a 3* will help. I was just hopign APril 6-12, the season is low and possible good prices in London City.
thereuare Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 My guess is that you're budget won't be enough for a 4* hotel, and while it may be enough for a 3*, will a 3* do for your needs this trip, keeping in mind that European standards are different then here in the US (where a London 3* may be more along the lines of a 2.5*/2* in the States)Please confirm if a London 3* is acceptable and how you'd like to proceed... we'll take it from there and suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
