jwl3 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Booked through PRICELINE link of course. This hotel was listed at $110 at Hotels.com. Same hotel for $60 on Hotwire.com. So I decided to try to lowball priceline at $51. Got it on the first try. Thanks for the great work guys!
jwl3 Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 By the way, why is the tax + fee unusually high? My hotel cost was $51, but Priceline charged me an additional $15.17. Of this, $6.85 was tax and $8.32 was fees.Whose fees are these, Priceline's or the Hilton's? And is that normal?
yellowdog Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) We hope you're satisfied with the outcome and will like the Hilton. Both the tax and fee looks normal. The fee is what PRICELINE charge you. They charge a fee for all NYOP bidders.Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.
