thereuare Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 The Renaissance is certainly a possibility, but i'd also include the Hyatt Regency Woodfield potentially being upgraded to the 4* level as a possible outcome as well. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 The Renaissance certainly looks beautiful, and I thought the Hyatt was a really nice property that I'd be very happy to stay at again. Plus, as I mentioned in another thread the other day, IKEA right nearby has breakfast for 99 cents.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
RedSoxMom Posted March 11, 2011 Author Report Posted March 11, 2011 It is the Hyatt Regency Woodfield Schaumburg. I'm happy with my booking!
AaronJB Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Congrats on your success. :)I stayed at this property last Fall and I actually thought it was nicer than the Hyatt on Wacker downtown. The outside of the property is really bland and a little disappointing, but the inside felt like a different hotel. The hotel restaurant is really nice - the chef believes in fresh, local ingredients (there is actually a herb/vegetable garden behind the property for the restaurant, although it's certainly too cold for it now.)The Ikea is essentially just behind the hotel and across the street. There's also a Sweet Tomatoes right next to the hotel. That's a nice salad bar (and I think they have soups) chain. There's also a Barnaby's Pizza nearby (and there may be coupons on the website.) Also, as noted above, Ikea's food court is actually pretty good (and quite reasonable) too. There's plenty of other options in the area as well.Thank you for letting us know about the change in star rating for this HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List for the state.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's HOTWIRE link.Enjoy your stay.
