Sam Goh Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I was specifically targeting this hotel. From the other posts here, the cook to order breakfast + manager's reception sounded good. In this area, the 3*'s don't charge for parking (e.g. Radisson) but the 3.5 (this) and 4* (e.g. Mariott) do. $14 parking (in and out privelages) or $10 at the county lot down the street (no in and out). A call to the county lot reveals that if you do self checkout with the machine after tellers are gone (9-10 p.m. - 7 a.m.) you only pay $3.Not so easy to get - bid $45 3.5* rej, added rebid zone $50 rej, added rebid zone, $53 rej - out of zones! At this point I remembered that the Radisson doesn't seem to have been won for < $60, so added 3* bid $55 accepted with a "priceline upgraded you to a 3.5*"

Sam Goh Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Posted April 4, 2011 Just wanted to follow up on our stay. Pros - The rooms are pretty spacious, with a "sitting area" with a couch and a table to do some light work. Bathroom was a decent size and bed was comfortable. The manager's reception had free beer + pretzels, not any hot food. The free breakfast with cook to order stuff was not bad, omelletes were good. They have signs posted about peak hours but we didn't encounter lines even at 9-10 a.m. Late checkout request was easily accepted.Cons - Even though this place has been redone, it's already starting to be a bit dated. Also, all the rooms face in, towards the middle quadrangle. We had the misfortune of being there during a conference/event being hosted with people partying all night. Even high up the noise level was quite high. Parking is expensive, I recommend self-parking and getting validated at the hotel which allows unlimited in and outs per 24 hour time period.
