nycmb404
Hey All,I've begun my search (using this site's PRICELINE links) for a trip to Aruba in April (the 11th to the 15th) and am trying to figure out a bidding strategy. I'm interested in the Resorts category only at this point. I've noticed people getting great rates at the Marriott Aruba within that category. Does anyone know if the winning bids have only been rooms adjacent to the construction that's going on? Or is it luck of the draw? I can see why they would assign priceline winners to those rooms, but I'm trying to figure out if that is always the case. I'd be happy with the Marriott (or the other hotels I've seen in the category), especially at the prices people have been getting. If you've recently won such a bid, could you share your experience with me? If you had a construction view room, was it a problem? Thanks for your advice,Mike Link to comment
nycmb404
Despite my earlier concern about construction at the Aruba Marriott, I decided to give it a try anyway. Won first bid of $85 selecting only the Resorts category. Very pleased with the result. Thanks for the tips and will use the PRICELINE link for future searches and bookings. Link to comment
