calhoun Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I'm actually not too happy with this deal. Booking a room for 7 adults in 3 rooms at $170 per room (plus fees). I think I ended up with 3 rooms with 2 double beds each (valued at $205) - or else I'm paying over the room rate advertised on Holiday Inn's website which is $161 for a single king. I would've preferred two rooms with king bed + 1 room w/2 queen beds.I will call the hotel later today to confirm + request specific room types.

Given the 7, there may be an element of extra person fees for beyond two adults in one of the rooms and/or if the rooms offered are two bed rooms. However, there is no way to know/specify bed types via HOTWIRE - especially in NYC where rooms with two beds are in short supply - and I'd definitely call the hotel to inquire.If you do find that you could have paid less in total via the hotel website or other travel service, I would contact HOTWIRE regarding their double the difference guarantee.Can you confirm the date/s of travel, amenity icons showing with the listing and location (is this the Holiday Inn 6th Ave?) so that we can update the site's Calendar of Wins? Their basic King bed is $161 as of this morning, and a 2x double bed room is ~$205.The stay is one night - Sat, Mar 26 at the Holiday Inn 6 Ave.The amenities shown before the bid were the 4 expected from looking at the NY Hotwire hotel list: Restaurant, Fitness, High Speed Internet, and Business Center.I was sure to use the HOTWIRE link.
