Looking for some advice on getting a room with 2 beds on south beach for the following dates. It seems I'm able to select how many guests there are through hotwire but not on priceline and everything looks overpriced on hotwire

Be aware that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy. After that it's at the discretion of the hotel. It's possible that you receive a room with only one bed and the hotel is unable, or unwilling, to switch you to a room with two beds (or can charge an additional fee to do so)

1) since PRICELINE doesn't show prices, it's possible you're underestimating how much a hotel will cost you in South Beach (it's still Spring Break for many colleges and this can be a popular destination, thus higher then usual prices)

2) many hotels in this area charge more for double occupancy vs. quad occupancy, so you may not be comparing apples-to-apples if you're comparing the quad occupancy HOTWIRE rate to what has typically been won on the board for double occupancy (or even vs. hotel direct rates for double occupancy)

So would you guys recommend I just wait and see if the prices let up a bit?

Nobody knows if prices will drop or continue even higher... as noted above, this is a busy time in the area.

What is the HOTWIRE rate for quad occupancy? What is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for quad occupancy?
