AlSleet
Hotel in Sant Just Desvern, Spain Hotel Details: 1 room(s), 1 night(s) Hesperia Sant Just Hotel Frederic Mompou 1Sant Just Desvern, 08960 SpainCheck-in: Fri, Oct 14, 2005 Check-out: Sat, Oct 15, 2005 Adults: 2 Children: 0 View hotel's amenities: Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center1 room(s) @ $78.00 per night x 1 night(s) $78.00 Taxes and fees: $12.95 Hotel Subtotal $90.95 Total Price $90.95 Some hotels may apply additional charges for incidentalfees such as parking. Prices are in $USD I'm not sure how good of a deal this one will really be. It's 8 miles from the airport in a SW suburban area of Barcelona. We are taking a Med cruise that departs from Barcelona and needed a place to sleep the night before embarkation on the cruise. Initially hotel rates were through the roof but have come down over the months we've been looking. Initially, I had booked the BW Alpha Airport directly through Best Western but the price was 89 Euro's, which would have worked out to around $119 plus taxes and fee's. The Hesperia looks to be a much nicer hotel and for a total price of only $90.Reviews on Expedia are generally good, rating the hotel consistantly a 4 out of 5 with one review noting that the bus line stops right in front of the hotel to get around town.Hopefully this will turn out to be a good hotel to get a nights sleep after a long travel day getting from the midwest to Barcelona. AlSleet
Yep, that's the correct area. I had to go back and look. I choose the area closest to the airport as that's where we were wanting to stay. It's still a little further out than what we were hoping for but it will do nicely for one night. Link to comment
AlSleet
I've posted a review of this stay in the Hotel Review section. This was a very nice hotel and a very nice room. Much nicer than what we've come to expect in America IMO. There are a few quirks about European hotels such as having to insert you room key into a slot by the door to get the electricty to come on in the room. We were very comfortable here and wouldn't hesitate to use Hotwire again for a hotel in Barcelona. Link to comment
