I am hoping to stay at The Back Bay Hotel, I am assuming I would select the Copley Square - Theatre District Area 4 star.

Any idea what this may go for (assuming I do get that Hotel) Looking at this coming Aug 2011

Please provide your date/s of travel and desired budget per night. Additionally, there is no way to get a particular property via PRICELINE. If you bid for a 4* in a particular area (for example), you have to be willing to accept any 4* in that zone. Are you only interested in the Back Bay, or is any 4* in this zone acceptable?

You can't request a room for 3 when bidding on PRICELINE. PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy. After that it's at the discretion of the hotel. It's possible that you receive a room with only one bed and the hotel is unable, or unwilling, to switch you to a room with two beds (or can charge an additional fee to do so).

If you want to be sure that the room sleeps 3 guests is it better to go with HOTWIRE. With HOTWIRE can you serach up to a quad room.

Is this a two nite stay or just one?

As noted above, given that there are at least EIGHT 4* rated hotels in this zone, it wouldn't be possible to target one particular property. Given this information, do you still want to bid only this zone OR do you want to include other zones in hope of a better price? If you're willing to accept other zones, which ones (by PRICELINE name) are you willing to include in your bidding?

I will be staying 2 nites, Hoping to stay in the theater district as my son and I will be going to a ball game and my wife

will be shopping and going to the Museum of Fine Arts. Thanks again!

Since you now mention that you'll be three people, note that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. Is this a risk you're willing to accept?

If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)

There is no bidding on HOTWIRE... you can search for triple occupancy and ensure that you'll receive sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (when searching for more than double occupancy this usually means 2 beds, although it could also be a rollaway brought into the room or pullout sofa bed)

PRICELINE and HOTWIRE use different zone names and boundaries, which is why i was trying to clarify the occupancy issue first and which service you'd likely be using.
