cacabear
I've been trying all week to get a 2.5* hotel in Fargo for Apr 8-10 but no luck.Started at $48 then to $50, 53, 55 and final bid of $58 was rejected.Am I trying to early to score a room??? Should I wait another week or two? Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Rates generally are not quite as heavily discounted in some smaller markets, but looking at HOTWIRE rates and regular rates, I don't think you're likely far off at all. However, the flip side is that you have bid up to a point where there are some regular rate options not too far above where you've bid. The La Quinta Fargo is $76 on Expedia and offers breakfast, and coupon code FROST11 takes $10 off per night - $66; the Country Inn/Suites is $78 (minus $10 using the coupon - $68.) The La Quinta actually gets very good reviews. So, you could try bidding a tiny bit higher, but if either of these two regular rate properties work for your needs, they may be a better option as you know what you are getting (and again, the La Quinta at least seems pretty nice from pics/most reviews.)Thank you for using the site's Expedia, HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
