FL Ft Lauderdale Best Western Hollywood/Aventura

I won this 2* hotel while bidding the three FLL zones that have a length of beach front. The Hollywood zone is roughly a triangle, with the long side along the beach, but one point clear inland across I-95. This hotel is located in that point, about as far west of the beach as one could get. It is indeed within the shaded area of the Priceline map - I checked.

Pluses - a really good breakfast (the lady managing it took pride in keeping it well-stocked and continually spiffed-up). A helpful and friendly front desk. The price. Easy access to that I-95 freeway for visiting other areas. On a street with many fast-food and mid-priced restaurants, plus major supermarkets. City bus service that stops near the hotel and ends up at the beach (line 28). Comfortable beds. Clean.

Minuses - road noise level in room (ear plugs were on the night stands by each bed). An odd cleaning-product smell I'd read of in other reviews (I'm surprised they haven't discovered Febreze).
