groovingkid Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 I was bidding for a room for my parents in Mammoth Lakes. They wanted me to go higher than I typically would bid for a 2 star rating, but they were satisfied with the results, especially since it was still a good discount from the hotel's listed rack rate.Bidding History$80 3*- Not accepted$85 added 2-1/2*- Not accepted$85 added 2*- ACCEPTEDTotal with fees/taxes for 1 night at Shiloh Inn 2* $103.10.I noticed Shiloh Inn wasn't on Priceline's regular list of hotels for Mammoth Lakes and was surprised to get this hotel. Is it typical for hotels to be available ONLY through the bidding process? This is first time I have seen this.Anyway, used the PRICELINE link!
yellowdog Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) Good to see that you parents are happy with the outcome.I noticed Shiloh Inn wasn't on Priceline's regular list of hotels for Mammoth Lakes and was surprised to get this hotel. Bidding and retail section is two diffrent services and you should never compare hotels and zones since they are diffrent.Yellowdog.
